The upstairs master bedroom named after Isaac Bayly who built this house in 1875 is opulently decorated in a deep rich claret red. French pleated drapes and tiebacks have been chosen to complement the colour and the duvet and pillows specially made to match. The old brass bedstead stands proud in this room with the queen bed fitted with quality linen and electric blanket. A single bed with a cream marcella bedspread makes this room ideal for guests travelling as a twin. The light fittings are white rose painted china and brass and match the dcor beautifully. An antique washstand with basin and pitcher stand in one corner along with a wooden chest, chairs and coffee table next to the fireplace. |
