Description

1 bedroom, 1 baths, sleeps 3-4, A/C, WiFi, TV, kitchen, new construction. Want to relax and get away from it all, while still enjoying the amenities of modern life? Equipped with WiFi, flat-screen TV with DVD player, excellent cell phone reception, and a safe large enough to protect laptop and other valuables, our cabins are located just a few minutes from beautiful Avellanas Beach! In this ocean paradise, you can surf world class breaks, swim and soak up the sun, or just kick back and rest or read on the sand under shade trees. Tropical open-air restaurants and bars serve cold drinks, light snacks, and delicious full meals, featuring both local and international cuisine. After your day in the sun and surf, you can take a quick rinse-off under our outdoor shower before coming inside to enjoy the comfort and convenience indoors. In addition to the amenities listed above, each cabin has A/C, a queen-sized bed in the bedroom, a fold-out couch in the living room, a spacious living room area, and a modern kitchen with full-sized refrigerator/freezer, a glass-top range with 4-burner stove top and oven, a coffee maker, a blender, a toaster, pots and pans, dishes, and flatware utensils. Each cabin is protected by a home security system, decorative grates on the windows and door, as well as a resident caretaker. Even though Avellanas is a jungle area, its easy to get around, whether you choose to walk from place to place locally, take a bike ride around the area, hire a taxi to nearby restaurants, ride the bus line* to the town of Tamarindo, or rent a car to explore the surrounding surf breaks, beaches, and towns. Our property manager, Miguel Guadamuz, can arrange any tour that youd like. Whether you ride a long board or short board, you can always find a fun ride at Playa Avellanas! Surf Breaks include Little Hawaii (a right point break on the north end of Playa Avellanas), right and left river mouth breaks, several beach breaks, and a left point break on the south end of the bay. So, are you ready to enjoy life in this little slice of heaven? You can rent one cabin at the prices listed under the Rates tab above. However, you can rent both cabins at a reduced rate and save $100. Note: When checking the calendar for availability, please don't be discouraged if the calendar shows the cabin is booked because it is possible that only ONE of the cabins is booked and the OTHER is still available. To check for availability of the other cabin, please check my other listing on VRBO, or send me an inquiry on this website. *The Avellanas Express Bus Line provides service from Tamarindo to Avellanas and as far south as Nigra. The cost from Tamarindo to Avellanas is $6 per person.

Had an outstanding time in this small town of Costa Rica. George was super friendly and made us feel very comfortable. Great location for surfing and the locals are super cool.

Great place to stay    Jan 11,2017

  •

This was our fourth trip to Costa Rica and we rented one of these cottages and had a great time. My wife and our 15 year old son stayed in the cottages. George the owner was great to work with and the at site manager Miguel was very accessible and helpful. We ate breakfast, lunch and/or dinner several times at the near by Cabinas Las Olas restaurant and the food and service was great. Several great near by surf breaks. We plan to stay here again. Thanks.

We spent a week in one of the cottages and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.Great proximity to beautiful beaches and relaxation. We flew out of San Jose with only a four hour drive to airport and car drop off.We would definitely consider coming back again. Both Earnesto and Miguel were super helpful and friendly. Must mention this was our third trip to CR and first experience with VRBO.Sold on this wonderful opportunity. Thanks George for all your help!

Great stay    Jan 11,2017

We have spent 49 days on the property, probably one of the better cabinas on the Avellanas The place was clean and comfortable. With some minor adjustments, like table on the porch, barbecue outside would be a nice addition We felt very safe, the locals are nice and friendly people, property manager Miguel was outstanding and very helpful, He was always available if we needed something. The property itself nice and tidy, roads to get there a bit of a challenge, we would recommend to rent a 4x4 We would recommend the property to anyone, because of the place and good customer service The beach (Avellanas) is probably the best beach in Costa Rica Thank you George and Kathy for the wonderful stay, Mike and Kathy from Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Vacation time!    Jan 11,2017

Nice property overall - comfortable bed, hot water, good internet, short walk to beach. Definitely needs to get some furniture for the porch and a few kitchen utensils seem to have disappeared but that happens in a rental. The place was clean when we arrived and Miguel and Ernesto checked in with us a couple times during our stay. Great food at Lola\'s, we split a lunch plate and it was plenty for both of us.The brick oven pizza place (don\'t remember the name) was very fresh. I would skip the Beach Box, it was eatable but I can\'t say it was good. Walk down through Las Olas Cabinas where we saw monkeys several afternoons and take the boardwalk through the mangrove to the beach, much better then using the dirt road. Stop by for a frozen drink or meal as a thank you for using the boardwalk. Mostly paved road but you do have to travel a dirt road for the last 10-15 minutes which is passable in a car but glad we got the suv so we did not worry about tearing up something on the rental car, heaven forbid! Only about 1 1/2 hours from Liberia airport and after a long day of air travel we were glad for the short road trip to get there.

COZY CABINA & BEST SURF SPOT!!    Jan 11,2017

My 1st trip back to CR in over 30yrs & BEST SURF EVER!!! George is wonderful & Not your typical VRBO owner, as he truly cares about making his casa your casa! It\'s Newly built and has all the comforts of home, including AC that\'s very rare in this tropical climate. I enjoyed the Peace & Quiet as it was truly a relaxing trip with the BEST surfing with 10min walk to the beach. Lolas & Cabinas Las Olas Restuarant are nearby to enjoy as much (or as little) as you like with beautiful scenery of the ocean, dining outside doesn\'t get any better! Liberia AP is an hour drive in rental car and San Jose AP is 4hr drive.
