Only 5 minutes from Cuers - a small picturesque Provençal village - easily accessible by road from the A57, only 25 minutes apprx from Toulon airport and an hour to St Tropez. Between sea and mountains, this stunning location is ideal to relax, enjoy and explore all the local attractions of the Cote d'Azur and perfect for family or friends holidaying together. INSIDE DETAILS The splendid Bastide offers 300m2 of habitable space, sleeping 10 in 5 bedrooms, 3 of which are en suite, with a beautiful outdoor swimming pool. Styled by an interior designer, the high ceilings, sweeping staircase and travertine floors skillfully combine traditional features with modern comforts. Approaching the property the unusual glass sided front door leads you into a large entrance hall, in cool colours of grey and white, welcoming you into the Villa. The stunning stone staircase carries the eye to the first floor. From this entrance hall the rooms seemlessly flow into eaach other - to the left is the large, light and airy open plan living/dining area, attractively furnished with hand made walnut pieces, 2 large comfortable sofas and chairs, a beautiful fire place and affords picturesque views from the windows on three sides. The dining area boasts an impressive hand made dining table that seats more than 12 people. To the right of the hallway is the spacious, well fitted contemporary kitchen professionally equipped with 2 dish washers, American fridge freezer with ice maker/water dispenser, 5 burner Smeg range cooker with double oven, microwave and all mod cons - ideal for preparing fabulous dishes with the local produce. The kitchen also has a marble dining table for 6/8 and opens on to a large terrace with seating for 20 under a wrought iron pergola - perfect for outdoor dining and that barbecue. All the rooms downstairs have *air conditioning and the thick walls keep the Villa cool in the mid day sun. The Ground Floor also includes: Bedroom 1 - a beautiful double room (160cm double bed), with en suite rain shower, double wash hand basins and wc. *Air conditioning.
There is a separate wc and utility room with a washing machine The central staircase, adorned with unusual pieces of art, leads you to the first floor accommodation which comprises: Upstairs Bedroom 2 - Magnificent Master bedroom, (double 180cm), balcony with panoramic views, en suite spa bathroom with large bath, rain shower, wash hand basin and wc. *Air conditioning. OUTSIDE DETAILS The large garden, of 3400m2, has a lawned area (great children's to play), mature trees and shrubs, and breathtaking views of the surrounding vineyards and countryside. There is a plethora of garden furniture, including sun loungers around the pool, dining table on the kitchen terrrace and dining for up to 20 at 3 marble top tables under a wrought iron pergola offering plenty of places for everyone to enjoy some indivdiual time or be together. The pool is 12m x 5m x 1.40m, with steps for access and ledge for children to sit on (apprx 1m in length), with a separate air bubble section (cold). A portable charcoal BBQ and outside kitchen to make the most of dining alfresco. Boules Piste and trampoline in the garden too. LOCAL FACILITIES Apprx 2km to a large supermarket complex with hairdresser and other outlets. Cuers apprx 4km has all amenities, numerous cafes, bars, restaurants, a theatre (Theatre de l'Abbatoir), fountains, a beautiful church, porches, chapels and is rich in history. The old part of the village is charming and has amazing panoramic views. Market day is Friday, with others in Le Lavandou on Thursday, Pierrefeu on Saturday and Hyères (apprx 22km) on Sunday. Nearest River apprx 10km Ski-ing at Isola 2000 arppx 2 hours drive Vineyard tours and wine tastings can be arranged with a local English qualified Sommelier. The beautiful countryside can be discovered on foot, bike or quad and yet you are only an hour or so from St Tropez, Nice and Marseille. The Owner of the Bastide is a reputable Michelin starred chef, who runs the Bistr'eau Ryon which is on the magnificent beach of St Clair in Le Lavandou. Private cooking lessons are possible. LOCAL ACTIVITIES Cuers is apprx 5 minutes from the Bastide - a small picturesque village steeped in history with architecutre to match. The Bastide is set amongs the vines of a nearby Domaine, which is part of the vineyards of ‘Domaine de Rimauresq’. Rimauresq is a ‘Cru classé’ which produces Syrah, Grenache, Carignan and Cabernet Sauvignon for the reds, Rolle and Ugni blanc for the whites and Cinsault, Mourvedre and Tibouren for the rosés. Rimauresq is one of the most prestigious vineyards in Provence and their “R” is appreciated worldwide. The Winery is apprx 15 minutes away. Rosé is the most complex wine to make and the Provence rosés are amongst the best in the world. Their pale rose petal colour, delicate aromas and explosion of sun filled fruit on the palate make them a perfect accompaniment to all dishes. From the Bastide you can visit the route des Vins and taste the wines of Cote de Provence, Bandol, Coteaux Varios and Coteaux d 'Aix en Provence.
