The town of Joshua Tree is the gateway to the awe inspiring national park in the magical Mojave. The Tumbleweed house is located just off Park Blvd., the main west entrance to the park. The home is four miles from the park entrance, yet walking distance to cafes, shops, galleries, yoga studio and health food store. Bouldering, hiking, wildlife (quail, roadrunner, tortoise) & petroglyphs can be found at the end of the street (2 min. walk) in Coyote Hole (picture above). Tumbleweeds south facing front porch is made for relaxing. The back garden is a fully enclosed, private space with a jacuzzi, plunge pool, shaded deck, hammock & gas barbecue. Inside find a fully equipped kitchen, wood floors, central heat, swamp cooler, open fire place, wireless internet, linens, stereo with CD collection & desert library. There are two annual music festivals in town, the Joshua Tree Music Festival May 15-17, 2009, & the Joshua Tree Roots Music Festival Oct 10 & 11, 2009. |
