Makai Condos - Fantastic midtown location - Next to Convention Center / 1 block to Beach - Heated Indoor Pool!
Welcome! We have 2 condos at the Makai, #116 and #510 and we'd love for you to experience the best. Our condos come with everything, fresh sheets on the beds, bath towels and all household supplies, and I mean all. No one does this like we do! We are impeccably clean, every week, all year long. I guarantee it. We are VERY different than other condos, we're halfway between a condo & a hotel, with the best of both worlds.
116 is a 2 bedroom 2 bath, bayfront with beautiful water views, sleeps 6.
We have the BEST midtown location in OCMD. Located right next to the convention center, walking distance to Seacrets, and just across the road from the beach. We are close to everything. The boardwalk begins at 27th street, so we are a short bus ride from there, or even a walk. Jolly Rogers water park & go carts is at 29th, so also close by. There are great restaurants on every side, including the Tap House, the Dough Roller, Ritas, a pound & eat crab place across the street, Barn 34, walking distance to Seacrets nightclub and Dumser's ice cream, the list goes on. There is also a beautiful bay side promenade, great for sunsets, stretching along the back of the convention center.
The Makai is a family oriented modern condo building. Our building has a heated indoor pool, a billiards room, a gym, a sauna, an outdoor shower and a large gathering area. The ground floor is all common area. There are public bathrooms on the ground floor. There are 2 elevators, and convenient parking right in front of the building. The building is handicapped accessible. And we have an onsite security guard for high traffic periods and events.
The Makai has 6 residential floors above the ground common area floor. Our studio is on the 5th residential floor, on the ocean side of the building, offering a partial view of the ocean. Our 2 bedroom is on the 1st residential floor, directly on the bay overlooking the wetlands and the beautiful hotel pool next door. It's very peaceful with gorgeous sunsets and lovely views of the Rt 90 bridge at night.

June - August: 7 nights - Friday to Friday weeks
September & May: 3 night minimum
October & April: 2.5 night minimum, which is 2 nights, 3 days, check-in 10am, check-out 6pm
November - March: 2 night minimum / 3 nights for holidays
Discounts apply for stays longer than 3 nights, except holidays.

Booking fee of $60 per reservation. The booking fee is not refundable.
A $30 discount is offered for rent payments made by eCheck or check.
Included:
Linens & bath towels are included. The sheets are fresh & clean, already on the beds when you arrive. We supply quality bath towels. This is VERY different than other condos.
All household supplies are provided: toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, cleansers, kitchen sponges, permanent coffee filter. We supply salt, pepper and sugar packets. Every bath has a hair dryer.
Please, bring your own beach towels, we do not provide those. And we do not provide personal toiletries such as lotion or shampoo, just FYI.
Restrictions:
Smoking is allowed outside on the balconies.
Please do not smoke inside the condo or building.
Unfortunately no pets.
We are a multi-generational luxury family condo.
Not appropriate for single adult party groups.

My husband and I were so lucky to find this place. We were having a house built in DE and our house in NJ sold in 6 days. With no place to stay and our new house not expected to be complete until December we were having a hard time finding a rental. Luckily we found Laura (owner) who was a god send. She was willing to work with us and rent to us without knowing when our house would be done. The place was home for us for 9 weeks and we loved it. It was comfortable, clean and had everything you needed to be at home. Laura was more than accommodating and never missed a beat when we had any questions. The condo is spacious, the beds more than comfortable and the full size bunk beds came in handy when we had family visit from out of town. Would highly recommend to anyone who wouldn't mind watching beautiful sunsets on the bay from the balcony and being a block from the beach.

We stayed with another couple during the Memorial day weekend it was awesome. Everything was great from the time we walked in. Exactly as the pictures are shown. It was clean, spacious very welcoming, bright and a great location. It was not too far from the boardwalk but we drove there as walking would have been too much. You could take the bus to the boardwalk if you like as well. The condo is located at a good walking distance to many places and restaurants. I enjoyed the all you can eat breakfast buffet at The Beach House Restaurant located at the Castle hotel it was good clean and affordable. The beach was located across the street which was great. If it rains you have indoor activities at the condo. Laura is really friendly and provides everything necessary for your stay and you do not need to carry with you all the extra stuff since its already provided to you. It is really an awesome place and I will stay here again in my next visit to Ocean City, MD and highly recommend it.

Wow ! Impressive immaculate condo with the perfect location. My husband and I traveled with our 2 - 16 year old girls for a weeks vacation. The condo was lovely. Every room was as described and Laura, the owner, was prompt, communicative and super nice to deal with. It is convenient easy walking distance to the boardwalk and endless restaurants. The condo is well furnished and a delightful retreat for us and our girls. The beds were extremely comfortable, everything was so clean and the towels and bedding soft and plush.

I've used VRBO/Homeaway for almost all our family vacations and have usually had good experiences. However, this condo and owner were a cut above. The condo is gorgeous, extremely well-maintained, and well-equipped for your stay. We are a family of four -- parents and two teens -- and there was plenty of space (and bathroom counter space) for everyone. The linens are on the beds when you get there -- no hauling linens for bed sizes you may not even have at home, and you're not faced with making up beds after an exhausting drive. That's a big benefit, y'all! The condo building itself is nice -- it has billiards, which my teens enjoyed, and an indoor pool, which we didn't use because the weather was so nice and that ocean is so big...The views of the bay from the patio are beautiful and the ocean is right across the street in the other direction. One family member likes to fish and there was easy access to fishing in the bay behind the convention center. Laura is a fabulous owner -- by far the best I've worked with. She communicated wonderfully throughout the whole process, and when we had a very minor issue with one of the showers, she sent a plumber out right away to take care of it. Like I said, I've had a lot of pleasant rental experiences, but she truly stands out. If you're looking to rent a condo in Ocean City, look for one of her condos ;) Oh, and just because we were Ocean City newbies and we met other OC newbies at the building -- the Makai is around 42nd Street and the boardwalk starts around 27th Street.

From the minute we walked in, we felt at home. Every detail is done with careful thought. The unit looked new, was clean and the beds were comfy. Anything that we needed was in the unit. It's so nice not traveling to OC with sheets, blankets, paper products, etc! Thanks for a relaxing stay. We will definitely be returning.

Great property, great owners! Communications with Laura were efficient, clear and easy to follow. The condo was very clean and the philosophy of a space share by the owners, gives a completely different experience than other condos we have stayed in Ocean City. So many amenities! Linens, towels and a well stocked bathroom, paper/plastic supplies in the kitchen in addition to dinnerware, a large selection of pots/pans, and even a pizza stone. We really needed nothing more than our suitcase of clothing, beach towels/chairs and food for the week. We were able to focus on fun and relaxing without spending the arrival day shopping to stock the condo! The kids enjoyed the pool in the building too. The beach is a short walk, the B had stops nearby and our favorite beach treat, Dumpsers, 7 blocks away. Thank you Laura and John for an awesome experience at your property and for allowing our family the opportunity to stay with you! Best condo experience in Ocean City!!

This is not your typical rental condo where the owner stocks the place with cheap furniture from Ollie's' clearance aisle. This place is like a luxury hotel. The decor, furniture, appliances, everything were very high quality. It reminded me of the St. Francis hotel in San Francisco, CA. We didn't mind coming home early in the evening and just hanging out, it is THAT nice. The beds are also the most comfortable we've ever slept in. The owner is very easy to communicate with and responsive. This will be our Go-To for OC!
