Mungo's Well is a light & airy one bedroomed holiday cottage in the heart of the Scottish Borders, peaceful spot 5km north of Kelso. Easy drive on quiet Borders roads to coast, hills, Edinburgh. Private south facing sun room, garden and patio with views to Tweed valley & Cheviot Hills in England. Free Wi-Fi in your cottage.  Log burning stove in living room and central heating throughout your cottage. Private south facing sunroom and patio.

 The spacious living room also has a wood-burning stove, hi-fi, freeview tv, dvd, a large, south-facing window and direct access to the conservatory. The kitchen is fully equipped, including fridge-freezer, combination microwave oven, and hob. The bathroom has a shower over the bath and a handle on the wall to assist stepping into the bath. The bedroom has a wide double bed and can, with notice, be arranged with twin beds. There is also a double wardrobe, a dressing table and stool, an alarm clock radio and a hair dryer. How to reach : We are very easy to find; three miles northwest of Kelso. If you drive out of Kelso, leaving Floors Castle on your left, following the A6089 Edinburgh Road (for Lauder) we are on the left immediately past the Nenthorn Riding Stables. We will send you detailed directions upon booking.

Best time to visit : Spring to watch the birds nest building. Summer to enjoy the long Scottish summer evenings. Autumn tosee the changing colour of the trees. Winter to enjoy the wood stove and Christmas shopping in the unique local shops

Life style culture : At Burnbrae, guests find tranquillity, comfort and space. The site is surrounded by agricultural land but is no longer a working farm.
