The Brazos Bluffs Ranch is amazing. anybody would be crazy not to go there. First of all, its absolutely gorgeous. Lakes, fields, rivers, hills, paths, plants, and more are all beautiful and picturesque. The cabin we stayed in was beautiful, had plenty of room, was super clean, and all needed appliances. The people there are so friendly and wonderful. My favorite part though, was the village & stores. In the Homestead center, there is a cafe, gift store, gristmill, pottery house, wood shop, a clothes making store, and a blacksmith! All of it is fascinating and exciting to see. My favorite was the Black Smith. Really fun for kids to watch him make the fire and bang on the iron to create something beautiful! It is all around AMAZING and the food is also extremely delicious, including their HEAVENLY homemade ice cream!!! There is also the church and the Cheese Caves you can visit which are beautiful and facinating! I highly recommend this property for everyone to go and see! :)
We thought the photos were lovely, but the real thing was better than we imagined in both the house and the wooded setting. We really enjoyed the sunset horseback ride and close lodging to tour the Homestead Heritage Center. We waded in the clearest, cleanest river we\'d ever seen in Texas and the guys caught lots of fish. The hosts are gracious and accommodating. We are planning to come back soon!
We stayed two night and it was amazing! The home is immaculate and set in a very serene setting along the Brazos. You will not be disappointed if you stay at this house!
