We provide a full utensil-equipped kitchen where you may boil frankfurters or prepare gourmet meals and enjoy them in our full dining room.
A short stroll one or two blocks in either direction will take you to a variety of Washington DC’s finest restaurants, popular retail outlets and shops, groceries, public transportation (subway, bus or taxi), pharmacy, hardware and other consumer options.
The expected conveniences of any 5-star Hotel will be at your fingertips upon arrival. You will be provided with linen and towel refreshing every 3rd day, however you may request more frequent changes or additional services or supplies at any time. LOCATION : Asante Sana Inn is an unique 100+ years old stately home transformed into a lodging inn. Parts of the floors are squeaky and some of the early luster is worn but the building’s original character hasn’t been completely erased, which is immediately evident just stepping inside. Our rooms are clean and comfortable and an Asante Sana Team Member is usually there to greet you. Check-in front desk hours are 3-7 PM however guest will receive a reservation confirmation with complete check-in information and instruction.
Located in the heart of Columbia Heights, we’re walking distance from the Green and Yellow line Metrorail.
Washington DC tourist activities are certainly plentiful but strolling around Columbia Heights will reveal a variety of local restaurants and activities, retail shops, public transportation (subway, bus or taxi, bike rental), pharmacies, banks, hardware and other options.

PARKING
On premises parking is $10.00 per day when parking permission is obtained in advance of check-in. Parking is available on a first come, first served basis. Guests found parking on the premises without prior authorization may incur a fee of $14.00 per day.
Guests will incur a penalty of $50.00 per day for unauthorized parking causing displacement of another authorized guest who has paid. Guests who commit unauthorized parking causing the displacement of a paid parking guest, then causing that guest to be ticketed will also be responsible for the cost of the displaced guests’ ticket.
Guests should be cautious parking anywhere in the District of Columbia. DC ticketing policies can be aggressive, and the street signs regarding parking restrictions are often confusing.
PAYMENT POLICY
Payment of 50% deposit of fees must be made at the time of reservation, which includes a $50.00 Non-Refundable Deposit. Declined credit card reservations are cancelled if updated credit card information is not received when requested within 48 hours. A third credit card decline will be permanently canceled. Please see “Cancellations” for other information.
PETS
Pets may accompany guests to ASI through advance arrangement only. ASI welcomes pets whose affairs and environment are kept cleaned up. The pet rate is $50 per pet. Dogs weighing up to 18 kilograms or 40 pounds are acceptable. Pets over 40 pounds the rate is $100.00 For other animals, please contact ASI in advance for further information.
Pets are usually limited to well-mannered cats and dogs only, weighing less than 40lbs. If you feel your larger dog is well trained and has good manners and her affairs are kept cleaned up, you must call in advance and discuss your large dog in order to obtain permission to bring a large dog. Pets should be housebroken and clean.
Guests bringing pets into Asante Sana without advance permission will be charged $150 per day, per pet.
