"BLACKBEARDS LANDING" Stunning beach front property, meticulously landscaped with open air raised pergola, pool & sunbathing deck, screened in patio (sea side), open air patio (sea side), landscape lighting, coral rock walls, rich with deep tropical vegetation throughout the property. The sea water is fifteen feet and eight steps away from the appropriately decorated screened-in attached over sized patio area. The interior decorating is absolutely breath taking and the beds, couches and chairs are comfortable. This is an extreme high end house. This has been my house for the last eight years and I'm going to be traveling so I've decided to rent.
This is the only rental house on the island in the section where the resorts, hotels and condos are located and where you have the complete property to yourself.
Your view will be from a raised beach area to the reef protected sea on the South Side / West End of Cayman Brac. There are several fishing and dive boats moored in front of the house adding to the beautiful water scene for you to enjoy everyday.
This house was built by a doctor in 1997 and the couple made it there residence for ten years. I purchased the house in 2007 and in 2009 moved in and made it my residence for the last six years. This house offers EVERYTHING you could want. Beautiful furniture, fixtures and decorations throughout. Complete with stainless steel appliances, large flat screen TV's High Speed Wireless internet. A computer printer with paper and extra cartridges, central a/c, dishwater, blender, coffee maker with timer, microwave, washer, dryer, Complete with linens, bath and beach towels. The property offers three bedrooms in the main house. The property caretaker resides in a studio apartment in the detached garage. She can be hired to do cooking, cleaning, laundry and she makes an awesome pina-colada. See additional information below. Tile floors and high end fixtures throughout. Fully equipped with all of the amenities one would expect from a finer home.
The master bedroom (king size bed) has it own change and bath area and it opens on the opposite side to the sea through two Anderson full glass patio doors. The doors open to a covered open air patio. When the wind blows from the north you may open the doors and be put to sleep by listening to the gentle waves hit the shore as the tropical breeze flows through the room.
There’s plenty of shade and tropical breeze as you relax in the seats or recline in the chase loungers under the large raised open air pergola which is fifteen feet from the water. The pergola is surrounded by mature coconut trees and other lush vegetation, the front is kept open so as not to distract from the view of the ocean. You could also take a little nap in one of the hammocks, perhaps the one ten feet from the water tied between two coconut trees.
The vrbo map is a little off. This property is located where the letter 'J' is displayed. I've tried to fix this but the people at vrbo tell me there is nothing that can be done.

You can relax away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy areas and maddening crowds. Your tropical tranquil ocean front vacation home is just feet from the Caribbean waters. You can enjoy the ocean breeze while soaking in the sun and being mesmerized by the breath taking Caribbean turquoise waters and sapphire surf just feet from your door. Listen to the never-ending rhythm of the gentle rolling waves and feel the cooling breezes as you enjoy the warm sunshine and stunning sunsets any time of the year. There is plenty of privacy and you'll enjoy the small yellow songbirds and the island's native brown booby and frigate birds that seem to enjoy the lush, tropical surroundings. The visibility in the water is incredible and the coral reefs endless. The low temperature of the water in mid winter is 78F so you can swim all year long. The most difficult part of your vacation will be packing your sandals and leaving this absolute tropical paradise and the fine comfortable accommodations of the house.
Stores are closed on Sunday so for those who will be arriving after 6:30 PM on Saturday or on Sunday we will do your shopping and there is no charge for our time.

I have never been happier at a vacation stay than I was with this place. Right from the moment we arrived at the airport to the day we left Sasha took care of us. There were 6 people in our group and we never felt crammed into the house, it was perfect in every way. I have to say we were a little skeptical just because everywhere else we've ever gone to the pictures are always way nicer than what you actually get. Not the case here!! The pictures don't do this place just justice, it's actually way more beautiful than any picture could show. Henry was so helpful with such detailed information, right down to how to navigate the airport on Grande Cayman. We have never been so accommodated on a vacation before. The property is hands down the best we saw on the island, we couldn't have asked for anything more. Sasha!!!!! She was amazing as well, she cooked fresh lobster for us one night and jerk chicken on another night and wow can she cook, she also helped us rent gear and booked us a boat for a day. We would for sure recommend this property to suit anyone.

The experience that we had from the very first contact to the very last with owner Henry Barbera was exceptional. The information that was provided during the booking process was amazing, we have been to Cayman Brac on three other occasions and we learned new and very valuable things about the island from Henry. He did not leave any information out regarding the Villa or the island. He was so very helpful and wanted us to truly enjoy our vacation. This property is in an extremely good location - is there good and bad locations on this small island - well not really but this home is very close to all that you need especially if you are a scuba diver. Very close to the airport, restaurants and Brac Scuba Shack (who I would also highly recommend). One of the best restaurants is the Captain’s Table which is right next door and within walking distance, we found that to come in handy. The home is understated in the listing; this is a large beautiful three bedroom home that was extremely comfortable. We traveled with another couple and found that you could easily have a third couple there and not feel crowded in any way. We found it to be designed with so many sitting areas so if you wanted to relax with a book or have family game night it was not problem. The kitchen was large with absolutely everything you could ever need if you wanted to cook your own meals. Sasha who is Henry’s assistant will cook meals for you if you wish – I WOULD highly recommend her cook you lobster. It was better than any meal provided by a restaurant (I am not kidding). She is AMAZING. I believe she will provide other services such as cleaning but we did not request or need that. The entire home as well as the property is very clean and welcoming. The grounds actually steal the show and are the reason we booked this home. There is a well-kept swimming pool and veranda with very comfortable sitting area. We spent the majority of our time there watching the ocean, reading, and watching those who fished, snorkeled and paddle boarded in the bay. The sunsets can’t be beat in the Cayman Islands and this is the perfect location to watch them every evening. We also treated ourselves to private massages on a couple of occasions, listening to the ocean while getting one of the best massages was perfection. I can’t recommend this home or any of Henrys properties enough – this was a spectacular experience from beginning to end. The best vacation we have ever had.

Henry's house was in a word AMAZING. The view was great, the location was great, the amenities in the home were great, the pool/grounds were well kept and maintained. Being within walking distance of the best restaurant on the Brac (Captain's Table) made the location even that much better. Henry was a VERY gracious host and went out of my way to make sure I was comfortable and well taken care of. Sasha (his property manager) was available if I needed anything and was a very big help the first few days until I got my bearings. Would I go back? Yes...and I wouldn't even look at another place. Thanks Henry for making my trip special.

We absolutely enjoyed our recent stay at Blackbeard’s Landing. I would say this property is in the best location on the island. Everything was perfect from the minute we landed from being greeted by Sasha to the time we left. The house is beautiful and equipped with everything you need for your stay. The best part though is the amazing grounds that have a private resort feel to the most beautiful views.

We spent a week at Blackbeard’s Landing and enjoyed our stay. Some of the touches that made it stand out from the other properties we’ve rented: -Very responsive owner - one night there was a plumbing issue and it was repaired by the next morning. -Henry rented a car for us and it was waiting at the airport with the caretaker. Great prices and no hassle at all. At the end of the week we simply had to park at the airport and leave the car there. -Plenty of towels & beach towels -Outside area was gorgeous. We greatly appreciated the shade over the pool, the hammock under the trees, the floating dock, the upper deck area, and especially the screened porch. -The drying rack on the screened porch was a thoughtful amenity and very useful! -There were multiple floor and ceiling fans, all of which were needed. -The paddle boards were a great perk -The kitchen had everything we needed, & it was nice to have some things in the pantry already. Reasons we rated it a 4 rather than a 5: -We have rented countless homes from VRBO over the years, and we have always felt like the house was ours for the week. This time, however, felt like we were guests in someone else’s house. It’s a subtle but important difference...i.e. opening the dryer to find someone else’s clothing in it...rules regarding at what temperature to keep the A/C, which was too hot for our comfort (upon arrival, it was 84 in the house)...explicit instructions to keep the doors and windows closed at all times, though the website describes opening them up to the cool breezes. Also, 3-4 times during our stay, people would walk through the property & take the paddle boards out for a bit. This wasn’t a big deal, but there were a couple of times when we had planned to take them out but couldn’t, and it also meant that people were in our “space”. If you’re staying at a resort this isn’t an issue at all, but we rent private homes because we like to feel like we are the only people on the island. For the most part, we did, and these few nights were just a minor annoyance. -Pool was HOT. Not just summertime-in-the-Caribbean-lukewarm...but 95 degrees according to the thermometer in the pool. Couldn’t cool off in it. Tips for potential renters: -Not suitable for small children. Far too many knick knacks to knock over and break. -The master shower has windows extending down to waist level facing the road and the sea. Ladies, be prepared for some exhibitionism if you shower at night.
