You must be 25 years old to rent this house! From your deck you can view the water colored homes and the beautiful emerald waters and our famous sugar sand beaches.
This home has an awesome view from the large deck facing the gulf. The deck furniture was purchased with the comfort of the guest in mind. This home also has two decks on the north side with amazing views of Mobile Bay! You can relax on the large sectional couch in the evening and enjoy your favorite TV shows on the 55" flat screen Smart, Ultra HD in the living room. There is also free Wi-Fi or enjoy a good beach read from the thoughtful selection of books or enjoy any of the many family games provided by the owner .
There are two large windows and a french door that allow amazing view of the water from anywhere in the living room and kitchen. The exquisite sunset sets rival those anywhere in the world.
At night, you can watch the twinkling lights of the Gulf of Mexico merge with star filled skies that are never seen in Gulf Shores or Orange beach. Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge that is located about 6 miles East on Ft. Morgan Rd. About 1/4 mile from the home is Gulf Shores Yacht Club & Marina offering charter fishing, dolphin and sightseeing cruises, and Jet Ski rentals. Tacky Jacks II restaurant and bar are also located at the Marina.
You will find two golf courses located within 10 miles, the Peninsula and Kiva Dunes. Kiva Dunes is the #1 rated golf course in Alabama and represents a most exceptional and unforgettable golf experience and is definitely to be included on your 'must play' list while visiting the Gulf Coast.
Fort Morgan is a historic fort at the mouth of Mobile Bay which is located only one mile from the house. Some regard it as 'one of the finest examples of military architecture in the New World. The post was named in honor of Revolutionary War hero Daniel Morgan. Construction was completed in 1834 and it received its first garrison in March of the same year. There is a car ferry only a couple of miles from the home that will take you across the bay to Dolphin Island where you will be able to explore Ft. Gains. There are exhibits which include the huge anchor from the USS Hartford, Admiral David Farragut's flagship on which he gave his world famous command, 'Damn the torpedoes - full speed ahead!' The fort also has the original cannons used in the battle; also an excellent museum that details the history of this period. It is an important tourist destination with tours and historical reenactment events. The site has been nominated for listing as a National Historic Landmark.
You will also enjoy the Estuarium! This is an exciting educational sea lab facility which includes a living marsh boardwalk. The Estuarium is also a showcase of the plants, animals, and other natural resources found in the estuary and its surrounding marine habitats.
