A classic mountain A-frame with modern appointments, White Horse Cabin is a short one mile from the center of charming downtown Idyllwild. Unlike most local cabins, we offer over a half acre to spread out, set back nicely from the road for extra privacy, in Idyllwild’s exclusive Fern Valley neighborhood.
If you're into hiking, mountain biking, walking with your dog, visiting the town center, or just enjoying all the surrounding forest has to offer, Happy Trails Cabin with its western-themed ambiance is the place to be.
This affordable Idyllwild vacation rental cabin is literally steps (about 20, to be exact) to two main trail heads, just park your car at the cabin, and you're off!
Not into hiking? A short half-mile stroll puts you in the center of Idyllwild and its shops, galleries, restaurants, and activities.
With the perfect blend of rustic yet modern, you'll enjoy a king-sized bed in the master, 4 bunkbeds in the second bedroom, a full bath, living room with cozy fireplace, and a real cook's kitchen.
Step outside the french doors to a rear spacious deck, overlooking a completely privacy-fenced yard that is both kid and pet-friendly. Out front you'll find a second gated deck where you'll relax under towering cedars.
The adjacent county park is a fabulous place to visit and your stay at Happy Trails includes a free park pass, so you pay no fees to use park amenities.
It's a favorite place with locals to walk their dogs or take a bike ride. In winter, the sledding and toboggan runs of the park are an easy walk from your temporary home--no need to drive anywhere. The huge park meadow is viewable from your kitchen window and offers magnificent views of Idyllwild's iconic Lilly rock.
Enter further into the park and you'll find Indian petroglyphs preserved and protected by the park. Hit the trail in another direction and you'll arrive at Idyllwild's Nature Center--a fun place for both kids and adults to learn about Idyllwild.
