Welcome to beautiful historic Old Louisville. Our place is close to downtown business, hospital and art district, Old Louisville and St. James historic district, Central Park, University of Louisville, Yum Center, the Expo/ Fairgrounds, Churchill Downs. Spacious 2 BR works well for groups. Homey and comfortable. We will be happy to go the extra mile to provide you with your every desire.
The space
This is the second and third floor of a Victorian duplex with a private entrance and a secure foyer. It has Victorian character, an open floorplan in the common areas and all the modern conveniences. The living room features a large, comfortable sectional couch and a smart TV with streaming channels. The main bedroom on the second floor has a king sized bed and a desk, with an adjoining room where air mattresses can be set up for additional guests. The third floor has two additional adjoining bedrooms, with a twin bed in one and a queen bed in the other. It has a unique fabric wall treatment and an adorable "hobbit" window that looks out into the tree in the front yard. In the kitchen there is an icemaker, dishwasher, toaster oven and pots and pans. If there is anything you need that I haven't stocked it with yet, let me know and I will let you use mine. I provide coffee, tea, bottled water, condiments, salt and pepper. I provide towels and wash cloths, a hair dryer and other basic bathroom supplies.
Guest access
You will have the entire two bedroom apartment to yourself as well as a private covered porch.
Interaction with guests
I live in the duplex next door so I will be able to meet you in most cases.
Other things to note
Old Louisville is under the flight path for the airport and a big UPS hub. Depending on the cloud cover, the planes will fly higher up or lower and its a bit loud when they have to fly low.
Parking is on the street and generally you can find something right in front of the house. Gated parking in back is available by special request but you'll have to get introductions to the dogs.
