Stunning historic 3 story home with 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths adjacent to NWMSU
Renovated 1905 Neoclassical directly adjacent to North West Missouri State University. Currently three bedrooms are open with the rental of the home. There are Queen beds in all the bedrooms. A Shared bathroom with shower on 2nd floor, 1/2 bath on main floor and bathroom with Jacuzzi tub in the basement. There is a utility shower in the laundry room. The home has a geothermal heating and cooling unit with a furnace for each floor providing a very cozy setting if you choose to be toasty warm in the winter or extremely cool in the summer.

On the first floor you will find a kitchen with a Keurig K-cup coffee maker, a Bunn carafe coffee maker and a water cooler. There is a double oven, 4 burner cooktop, microwave, juicer, slowcooker, waffle maker, pots /pans, lots of silverware/knives, plenty of dishes/glasses etc. availble for use. There is a formal dining room and a table in the kitchen. There are two other rooms for seating with couches and chairs to enjoy your morning coffee or tea as well as an evening beverage. You are welcome to enjoy items in the pantry and refrigerator.

The second floor has three bedrooms open with queen beds in each room. The flower room has a TV/dvd player, non working fireplace(coal) and a closet. This room has original wool carpeting and hand stamped wall-paper. There is another room with a small tv/w blueray player and a sunroom/toy room. Two other rooms are under construction hopefully finished by the end of 2017. The large bathroom has a walk in shower, pedestal sink from Paris and an old fashioned pull chain water closet (toilet). Be careful it has a-lot of power.

The third floor is closed until renovations are completed. This may take a while as it is a very large area.

We have a cement driveway with ample parking for your vehicles. The two story garage was once a 3 stall horse barn and a small carriage house. There is a basketball hoop for your pleasure. I have started a fenced in garden and you are welcome to wander around and pick vegetables or flowers if you like. Feel free to pull weeds and toss in the dumpster. There are many fruit trees (peach, apricot, cherry and apple) as well as a large bald cypress, huge maple, oak sweet gum and an old sycamore tree. We have a lighted patio with chairs, benches, a table, a weber charcoal grill and a gas grill. There are plans to add more to this area as well. There are two covered porches on the first floor that you can enjoy on a sunny or rainy day while sipping a beverage.

Incredible home for a unique experience in Maryville    Feb 15,2018

Tim was a wonderful host, very accommodating and helpful. The home is quite large and could be used to host a large group easily but cozy enough for just a few. We'll be back!

Absolutely WONDERFUL place to stay!    Feb 15,2018

My family traveled to Maryville for a funeral for my grandmother and we wanted to find a place that reminded us of her life and the memories we had in Maryville with her rather than staying in a hotel. I have to say that we will never stay in a hotel in Maryville again if this house is available. It has been completely redone and has everything you need, and it is great for a family with kids (we have 4 and 5 year old boys). The owner was amazing to work with and super responsive giving us info. The house has so much history and the furnishings were perfect - not too much, but just enough to feel like you are in a home away from home. It is super close to main street and also Northwest University campus and some great parks. I suggest that if anyone is looking for a place for a family or a small group of people to stay, this is a true gem!

It was a gorgeous old home. Very well kept and well stocked for guests.    Feb 15,2018

I'm originally from Maryville and I know this house well. I even trick or treated there as a child. I've always wanted to see the whole house on the inside and I wasn't disappointed. It's a great old house. It also was very clean and inviting. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The owners of the home were very helpful and friendly. Even the next door neighbors were great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time staying to enjoy a Bearcat game which we walked to from the house. We could hear the game when we walked out the front door. The house was impeccably clean and the craftsmanship and history were incredible to see. Tim was great to talk to and we had everything we could possibly need and more. We'd stay again and recommend in a heartbeat!

An historic home in the heart of Maryville that made our stay unique and memorable. Kind and helpful owner, great amenities, and convenient to everything. Don’t stay anywhere else.

Absolutely gorgeous    Feb 15,2018

Took my son on a recruiting visit to NWMS. Was so happy to find a vacation rental within walking distance. We were absolutely amazed when we pulled up. The property is gorgeous everything we needed was there. So much more relaxing than a hotel room. My son had his own room but we could all be together in the kitchen and living room space. It was perfect. Would highly recommend and if my son decides to go to school here we plan to rent the home when we come to games.
