Part of a small apartment site for 20 privately owned apartments, located 5 minutes walk from the center of Sosua, max 10 minutes from the beaches. Nobody needs to rent a car! Well-lit street parking is available if you do.
These townhouse apartments on 2 floors each have private wifi with 6.6 mbps of landline Internet - enough to stream films, TV, sports to both TVs, and KODI (TV over Internet) boxes to help you do so - or use the Internet with your computer or tablet.
There is also shared wifi across the site - enough for emails, browsing, Skype etc.
Each apartment includes one bedroom with an oak king size bed, wardrobe, shelves and drawers, plenty of storage space. 32 inch TV in the bedroom. Balcony with chairs / table.
Upstairs bathroom with walk-in shower. Air conditioning in the bedroom.
Downstairs is a dining area with table / chairs, a living area with a desk / office chair, 32" TV, sofa, coffe table and armchair. Also a half-bathroom.
Fully equipped kitchen with fridge / freezer, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, gas stove. Small patio with chairs / table.
For your safety, we have electronic gate access to the site, and there is a night watchman. In each apartment there is a wall safe to keep documents and cash safe. Locking pins secure balcony doors, and each apartment has two locks.
If you need help, there is a resident administrator (for the site), the owner lives nearby and has a rentals manager on call.
Arrival and transportation: There is no check-in desk - you must inform us of your arrival time. We can book a taxi from Puerto Plata or Santiago airports.
Moto-concho taxis abound. A five-minute walk takes you to public transport, which can be very crowded. We can recommend reliable taxi drivers and car hire. Long-distance buses (Caribe Tours and Metro) travel to Sosua from Santo Domingo and Santiago.
What's included? Electricity is included in our prices, except that the air conditioning usage is extra - by meter or a flat rate of $ 5 per day per unit.
2x per week cleaning and linen change / bath towels are included. Initial 5 gallon pitcher of drinking water is included, then 50 pesos per pitcher. Personal laundry at a charge of 30 pesos per pound.
Getting around on foot? We are five minutes walk from the city center, with a selection of bars, restaurants, nightclubs, shops and supermarkets. Around the corner there are banks, a liquor store, mini-market, fruit and vegetables and Dominican fast food. The main beach is 10 minutes walk and Playa Alicia less than 10 minutes. Or spend your time relaxing by the pool in your own little haven - relaxed and regenerated. We try to keep the site quiet after 11pm, and ask guests to respect this - there are plenty of other places to party in Sosua.

Facts About Destination : Sosua is known as a sex-tourism destination. It is also quite possible to come here and ignore all that and enjoy the beaches, the bars, the great weather etc.
Why visit : Many snowbirds from Canada and US choose us as their destination, to avoid the cold. The beaches are amazing, the culture is sometimes frustrating, sometimes amazing, always something new to learn. Come and learn Spanish.
How to reach : Puerto Plata (POP) airport is 10 minutes drive away. Santiago (SIT) is 2 hours drive. Santo Domingo is 4 hours drive - daytime long-distance buses from the last two. Do not fly into Punta Cana or Samana if you are coming here.
Best time to visit : Any time! Summers can get very hot. and humid (July-Sept). It can rain at any time of year.
Transport system : Long-distance buses to Santiago and Santo Domingo. Local transport is an experience!!
Precautions : Do not wear gold or carry handbags that can be snatched. Like most resorts around the world, Sosua attracts a criminal element that wants to live off you. Stay alert and be sensible and you will be fine and have fun.
Languages spoken : Spanish. Many people in Sosua speak English or German or French or Italian or a combination. We also add Dutch to that list. Bienvenido, welcome, willkommen, soyez le bienvenu, benvenuti, welkom.

A great experience. Lindsay was exceptionally communicative and responsive, and even helped me finding coach times and booking taxis. The condo was a great size, well equipped and exceptional value for a two-story space. It is located in a perfect central area - moments on foot from the restaurants and bars but far enough away to be relatively peaceful. The pool area by the condos was clean and well-maintained. Highly recommended.

Great, but the lady next door would complain that we were too loud. It was only two of us and we were having a normal conversation at normal speaking level, and it was 2pm in the afternoon. I wouldnt stay here again because I dont like being told I cant talk in my own room every day and night. But I guess that is the fault of the person living next door, not the apartment owner/host. If that is not a factor for you, then I would 100% recommend this place to a friend. Like I said it was a great place, but the lady complaining next door and having security beat on my upstairs patio door with a long stick every night ruined it for me. The host was a great lady and will take good care of you.

Lindsay and Orlando were great hosts. They worked with me when my arrival was delayed and were accommodating when an illness required me to stay an extra day. The apartment was exactly as described. The Internet was consistent throughout the complex and there were two hotspots so if one went down, the other always seemed to work. The AC worked but only in the bedroom upstairs. They also had a maid come by at least once a week, and provided a free 3 gallon water bottle on arrival. Highly recommended.

This is an excellent well managed place. It is good for families, couples and solo travelers. The beaches, supermarkets, restaurants, bus stop are very close to the condo. The area is much more quiet than the center of the city. The pool is nice and the area around the pool is nice and relaxing. The owner is the best you can find. The apartment itself is spacious with two TVs, good air-conditioning and a fully equipped kitchen. The apartment gets a lot of fresh air due to high ceilings. The cleaning and changing of sheets/towels was done twice a week and it was really good. The price/quality is simply remarkable. Thanks a lot!
