Area Information : Westport was settled in 1670, located on the southern most western tip of Massachusetts and is nestled in amongst an area of other coastal villages such as South Dartmouth, MA, Padanaram, MA, Little Compton, Rhode Island and Tiverton, Rhode Island. In the downtown area there are fine restaurants and shops springing up. You will also find Sakonnet Vineyards, featuring tours and wine tasting. The cottage is conveniently located Near Westport Point and Westport Harbor.

We can not say enough about how comfortable, private and perfect this vacation spot is. Right near the shore, such a nice farm, and the people there are so nice. My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary by escaping to the quiet fields and dreamy sea air of Westport, MA. The Hosts at Horseneck Farms welcomed us with a basket of ripe peaches which to this day, I can still taste and smell..so yummy! We were introduced to all the horses and I loved getting up early to just go watch them frolicking in the field. I took long walks pass the stone walls and we had a wonderful time at Horseneck Beach and a fabulous time at The Back Eddy just drinking wine and watching the boats. It was so clean and everything was charming in the cottage. The TV was great with anything you like on cable, my husband enjoyed his computing and I actually just relaxed. Fantastic..Highly recommend..the area makes one explore a little bit more than, say, on Cape Cod,..but it was a total joy! Very unique experience, forever remembered.

My husband and I needed to stay in New England on short notice for a family situation and Bill was fantastic. He accomodated us quickly, making us comfortable as soon as we arrived. We have stayed here before and will always come back here when in the area. Being from New England originally we know the area and this place is perfect. A great get-away and a quiet, peaceful place to take some time when you need it. Always spotless and beautiful! Gorgeous horses and a lovely property. Equally wonderful hosts! The photos do not do this property justice. My elder dog and I came to spend 3 days of quiet time and we could not have been happier. I came expecting a cottage and found an immaculate tastefully furnished small house. We took wonderful walks along the beach and the neighborhood. A friend came and we explored the little shops in the area and ate the most terrific lobster at the Bayside. It was just what we needed and I am looking forward to a mini October vacation next year. Thanks Bill for the wonderful respite.
